![]() ![]() In the Roman-Catholic Mass, the priest says a few additional prayers between the Our Father and the doxology. In the Protestant tradition, it is part of the prayer. ![]() The doxology “For thine is the kingdom.” has already been added to the prayer in some of the very early Bible manuscripts around 100 AD. The prayer is part of the Bible (Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 6, Verse 9-13). It was first written down in Greek ( Pater Hemon) and has been translated in almost all languages. The Our Father is a prayer by Jesus Christ, used by Christians from all confessions.
